Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Prepare your baking sheet by lining it with aluminum foil.
Place the chicken breasts on the foil, spacing them out evenly.
Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil over each chicken breast.
Sprinkle the French onion soup mix evenly over the chicken breasts.
Lay the fresh asparagus around the chicken on the foil.
Drizzle the remaining olive oil over the asparagus, and season everything with salt and pepper.
Sprinkle the shredded cheese generously over each chicken breast.
Fold the sides of the aluminum foil over the chicken and asparagus, creating a secure packet.
Place the foil packets on the prepared baking sheet and transfer them to the preheated oven.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) and the asparagus is tender.
Let the packets sit for a few minutes to cool slightly before opening.
Open the packets carefully, allowing the steam to escape, and serve hot.
