Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Prepare your baking sheet by lining it with aluminum foil.

  • Sprinkle the French onion soup mix evenly over the chicken breasts.
  • Lay the fresh asparagus around the chicken on the foil.
  • Drizzle the remaining olive oil over the asparagus, and season everything with salt and pepper.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheese generously over each chicken breast.
  • Fold the sides of the aluminum foil over the chicken and asparagus, creating a secure packet.
  • Place the foil packets on the prepared baking sheet and transfer them to the preheated oven.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) and the asparagus is tender.
  • Let the packets sit for a few minutes to cool slightly before opening.
  • Open the packets carefully, allowing the steam to escape, and serve hot.
