Ingredients
  

Dough

  • 2 cans refrigerated biscuit dough (16.3 oz each)

Meat

  • 1 pound ground turkey or beef Choose your preferred protein.

Sauce

  • 1 cup pizza sauce Opt for a robust sauce.

Cheese

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese Melts beautifully.

Vegetables

  • 1 cup mixed bell peppers (diced)
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms

Seasonings

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground turkey or beef. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook until fully browned, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Prepare the biscuit dough by cutting each biscuit into quarters.
  • Once the meat is cooked, drain any excess fat. Stir in the pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, and diced bell peppers. Mix well.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the biscuit pieces with the meat and sauce mixture. Toss gently to coat.
  • Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Pour the mixture into the dish, spreading evenly.
  • Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  • Add any additional toppings, such as sliced black olives or pepperoni.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  • Let the casserole cool for about 5 minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with fresh basil or additional cheese if desired, then cut into squares and serve warm.
