Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Whisk together until well mixed.
In a separate bowl, mix the wet ingredients: warm milk, melted butter, and eggs. Ensure the milk is warm but not hot.
Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until the mixture starts to come together into a dough.
Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Shape the dough into a ball, place it in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.
If making savory rolls, sprinkle cheese, bell peppers, spinach, and garlic powder over the dough. For sweet rolls, spread brown sugar and cinnamon, along with raisins or nuts.
Roll the dough tightly from one edge into a log and cut into equal pieces, about 1-2 inches wide.
Place the cut rolls into a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise for another 30-45 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and brush with melted butter if desired.
Enjoy your delicious breakfast rolls warm!
