  • 1 package Puff Pastry Typically 17.3 oz, thawed according to package instructions.
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Softened to room temperature.
  • 1 cup Fresh Blueberries Can use fresh or thawed frozen blueberries.
  • 1/4 cup Sugar Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 large Egg Beaten, for egg wash.
  • All-Purpose Flour For dusting.
  • Powdered Sugar For dusting, optional.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Unroll the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and roll it out to about 1/8-inch thickness.
  • Cut the pastry into squares or rectangles, approximately 4x4 inches.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and half of the blueberries. Mix until smooth.
  • Place about a tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square. Top with a few remaining blueberries.
  • Fold the pastry over to seal and crimp the edges with a fork.
  • Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  • Bake on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 15-20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  • Allow to cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving if desired.

Notes

For variations, consider adding different fruits or spices to the filling.
