Instructions
 

  • Gather all ingredients and prepare your workspace with a large skillet.
  • Peel and cut bananas in half lengthwise, then cut each half into thirds.
  • Melt butter in the skillet over medium heat without browning it.
  • Add brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg to the skillet and stir until combined and sugar dissolves.
  • Add banana pieces to the skillet and gently toss to coat, cooking for 2-3 minutes.
  • Drizzle lemon juice over the bananas and stir gently.
  • Remove from heat and add chopped nuts if desired.
  • Serve warm banana mixture over a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
  • Garnish with cinnamon or additional nuts if desired and serve immediately.
